Session Description:
As the economy recovers, CEOs are shifting their focus to increasing top line growth through product innovation and sales force productivity, while continuing to reduce operational costs. This is causing an enormous pressure on IT and Infrastructure groups to deliver on more projects such as ERP implementations, mobility, collaboration, and business intelligence, while cutting costs, increasing compliance and improving their service and asset management maturity through ITIL. Is this enough? No. IT and Infrastructure groups will not be able to maximize, deliver, measure, and communicate their business value unless they have simple and effective IT governance in place. In fact, IDC’s latest Line-of-Business Executive Survey showed that the number of CEOs wanting to improve IT’s responsiveness to the business doubled, making it their fourth priority.

Through this fun and interactive session you will learn about what an effective IT governance looks like, the business value of IT governance, and the framework for simplifying and improving one. Using real examples and best practices you will also learn about the top 10 accelerators for an IT Governance improvement project, as well as the top 10 risks.
