Session Description:
Are you wondering what the release of Version 3 of ITIL will mean to your organization’s improvement program? Whether your organization is just starting down the IT Service Management path or you have been applying the principles for years, the move in Version 3 to a service lifecycle approach may be leaving you with more questions than answers.

How do you map the old approach to the new? How do you make sure your people come to understand the new approach? How can you ensure that your organization gets the maximum value from the new approach without unnecessary confusion or wasted time?

This session is designed to discuss the issues involved in moving from an approach based on Version 2 to one based on Version 3 without confusing staff members or losing the momentum you have worked so hard to develop.

This session will cover:

  • The similarities and differences between the two versions.
  • The types of challenges that different organizations are likely to face, based on the nature and status of their ITSM efforts to date.
  • issues to consider when developing a strategy that will work in your particular case.
  • building an education and communication strategy that will help you turn this time of uncertainty into a time of exciting growth.
  • Come and find out how to define your path to the future.
