Scott Dennull joined CareSource Management Group as the Director of Infrastructure Services in 2004. CareSource Management Group offers a full spectrum of services for the administration of public-sector health care programs. In his two and a half year tenure, he has overseen the development of Technical Solution Strategies, Enabling Technology Roadmaps, IT Service Portfolio, and worked with the business to create a Business Service Portfolio. Scott spent 20 years in a large international company holding various IT professional positions prior to joining CareSource. He earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Grace College in 1984.
Session Description:
This presentation will demonstrate CareSource Management Groups successful journey in creating a strategic architecture concept to aligning IT to the Business. This session provides practical tools and ideas on how to communicate technical concepts on the business level and explain complex technical service offerings and their vision. You will learn how to demonstrate the business benefits of technical service offerings and educate IT and the business on how to negotiate technical requirements and avoiding discussions about products high on the hype cycle. At the end of the session you will be able to create a framework for your Infrastructure Strategic Architecture and enable and identify technology solutions.

This session will give practical tools and ideas on how to:

  • Demonstrate the business benefits of technical service offerings.
  • Educate IT and the business on how to negotiate technical requirements and avoiding discussions about products high on the hype cycle.

  • How to create a framework for your Infrastructure Strategic Architecture.
  • How to identify technology solutions and enabling technologies.
  • How to create and document a service oriented strategic architecture.
  • How to align the infrastructure architecture to support the business service portfolio.
