Session Description:
We have such great intentions. We have efforts in place to improve our level of compliance and are constantly advocating to get the needed resources to safely pass audits without negative findings and minimize the risk to our business. We also strive to align more closely with our business partners and advocate to get more resources to create value for our corporations and to communicate IT’s impact on the top line. Sometimes these two priorities seem to be at odds with each other. So we improve our IT governance to unite the efforts, only to find out that it also requires resources for 30 other processes! Sometimes these areas of focus look as misaligned as the characters from the movie “The Three Amigos.”
In this session, we'll clarify the relationship between compliance, value creation and governance, and outline ways we can harmonize these efforts -- in essence transforming them from the Three Amigos to the Three Musketeers: “One for all, and all for one!” We will also discuss how alignment with business objectives can be used to drive this harmonization effort.
Participants will learn about the interdependencies among compliance (value preservation), value creation and IT governance from the perspective of an IT infrastructure group and how to help unite these efforts based on corporate strategy.
