Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Information Technology Division
Louis Hook was appointed Chief Information Officer of Los Angeles World Airports’ (LAWA) Information Technology Division on December 4, 2003. Louis was responsible for overseeing all information systems and telecommunication functions, in addition to establishing internal policies and formulating a strategic vision for the technology needs at LAWA’s four airports: Los Angeles International (LAX), Ontario International (ONT), Van Nuys (VNY) and Palmdale Regional (PMD). As a result of his leadership, LAWA’s Information Technology Services Group is currently implementing the department’s $150 million IT Security Master Plan to support enhancing security, infrastructure and other critical IT system projects. Hook has 19 years experience in the communications technology and systems management fields.
Louis recently returned to private consulting practice and is president of the firm, Compton.Com. Partners, LLC., which provided consulting and project management services to public entities such as cities, universities and non-profit organizations in communication technology planning, management, analysis and implementation for Internet and data networking, telephone infrastructure and systems.

The LAWA Master Plan was the first comprehensive long range plan to improve the LAWA airports Infrastructure and Security in nearly half a century and considered one of the largest Infrastructure projects on the west coast. Join Louis Hook as he shares the details involved in coordinating this highly visible and critical project to secure LAWA in the face of today’s terrorist threats.
